Use the instructions below to configure Instagram to route traffic to the community's BetterBot. **Please note that Meta changes their platform regularly, so these instructions may not be 100% accurate.
The instructions below demonstrate how to configure the community's Instagram account to route traffic to BetterBot.
CAMPAIGN Links in the BetterBot Dashboard
- Click on CAMPAIGN on the left-hand menu.
- There are a total of nine starting intents available to choose from.
- The most popular options are the WELCOME & SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT intents, but feel free to start the bot from any of these guided conversation flows.
- Copy the link by clicking the paperclip icon on the far right side.
Adding the Campaign Link to Instagram
- Navigate to the community's Instagram Account.
- Replace the website link with the desired BetterBot intent link.
- If the Instagram account is linked to Facebook, there is the option to set up an autoresponder using FB, as shown in the screenshot below:
- To add the bot link to the Instagram profile, open the Instagram app and head to the profile.
- Then select "Edit Profile".
- From there, edit the link that is in the "website" section.
Hit submit to save changes.
